About

Maya is a registered Occupational Therapist who supports children and teens in achieving meaningful goals and participating in the activities that matter most to them, while helping them build skills, confidence, and independence. She completed her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto after earning her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at York University. Maya has experience working with children and teens in a variety of settings, including school, camp, and clinical environments. She brings a strong belief that therapy is most effective when it is fun, engaging, and meaningful. She uses a play and activity-based approach to help children and teens work toward goals that are important to them. Maya takes a holistic, strengths-based approach to care, recognizing each person's unique abilities, interests, and goals. She values collaboration and family-centered care. She works closely with parents to provide guidance, coaching, and support to promote participation and independence across the clinic, school, and home environments.
