About

I believe children communicate in many different ways, and sometimes their feelings and experiences are easier to express through play, creativity, or behaviour, than through words. My approach is warm and collaborative, and I aim to create a space where children and families can explore their experiences at their own pace, without judgement or pressure. As an Art Therapist, I use both conversation and creative approaches to flexibly follow alongside the child’s individual needs, interests, and developmental stage. Art therapy is not about being “good at art”; it is about creating another way for children to explore their feelings, make sense of experiences, and communicate what may be difficult to put into words. I also recognize that supporting a child often means supporting the people around them. I aim to work collaboratively with parents and caregivers, listening to their experiences and perspectives and helping them better understand and respond to their child’s emotional and relational needs. Where appropriate, I see caregivers as an important part of the therapeutic process and value creating a shared approach that can continue beyond the therapy room. As a UK Qualified Art Psychotherapist (HCPC) and Ontario Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) (CRPO) I have experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults across educational, community, and hospital settings. My experiences have taught me the importance of flexibility, patience, curiosity, and meeting each person where they are.
