Our Approach

At Young Sprouts Therapy, we recognize that every child, teen, and family is different. Rather than relying on a single modality, we use an integrated approach that allows us to blend and adapt evidence-based therapies over time.

Our clinicians draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Art Therapy, and other modalities. This gives us a flexible toolkit to support emotional regulation, behaviour, relationships, and day-to-day functioning.

Throughout the process, we stay collaborative and transparent so you understand why we're using a particular approach and how it connects to your goals for your child or family.

What an integrated approach means in practice

  • Sessions tailored to your child's temperament, age, and learning style
  • Ability to combine play-based work, skill-building, and parent coaching as needed
  • Room to adjust the plan as your child grows and life circumstances change
  • Collaboration with parents, schools, and other supports where appropriate

What this means for your family

You don't have to know which modality is the "right one"—we'll help design a plan that fits your child, keeps you informed, and focuses on changes you can see at home, school, and in relationships.
